MY STORY

I was born in New Jersey, USA the daughter of a young Black American GI and a young Austrian woman from the countryside. I lived in Germany from the age of 2 until 7. Then, my family moved to Florida, where I grew up.

At 24, I left America without knowing I'd never return. My journey led me to the Greek island of Ikaria, where I lived for two years. One day, a woman I had met on the island casually invited me to come with her to Austria. I said, Why not? and followed a sense of trust I didn't fully understand at the time.

Though my mother was Austrian, I had no real connection to the country. We spoke no German at home. I had only met my grandparents once, as an adult. So when I arrived in Austria in 1986, it wasn't a homecoming. It was the beginning of something completely new. And somehow, I've been here ever since.

In Austria, I worked as a model, then as an English teacher for both adults and children. In 1991, I gave birth to my daughter, and in 1999, to my son with my second husband who sadly passed away from skin cancer in 2010.

In 2009, a year before my husband left us, I fulfilled a lifelong dream: I graduated from the Gustav Mahler Conservatory in Vienna with a concert degree in jazz voice. Music has always been part of me and singing gave me a way to come home to myself.

After his passing, I devoted myself to raising our son. Dating felt impossible, frustrating and exhausting. For years, I set my own needs aside.

But then, in 2017, I made a bold and beautiful decision: to offer what I knew was missing in the world: presence, warmth, and intimacy. That's when Victoria: Secret Service was born.
